Cultural action

Since its creation, the CEEJA has worked to promote Japanese culture in Alsace. Japanese culture is therefore presented to the general public in all its diversity (traditional and contemporary) through actions affecting all areas of culture such as cinema, dance, theater, exhibitions or music.

Thanks to a diversified program for all audiences, the CEEJA has established itself as the privileged interlocutor to which all local partners turn for the organization of events on the theme of Japan, and has also won the loyalty of a large audience beyond of Alsace, both in the Great East and in neighboring countries (Germany and Switzerland).

Therefore, in recent years, the CEEJA has adopted new dynamics to extend its action:

loan of CEEJA collections (old illustrated books & art) for events in the region & in Europe expansion of its cultural strategy to give priority to European and regional projects (partnership with the Grand Est Cultural Agency) emphasis gradually on projects centered on the image, a preponderant element in Japanese culture.
